Phil Grissinger has almost 40 years of diverse administrative, management and technical experience in program development and facilities planning, design and construction.
His background includes a unique combination of hands-on design and construction engineering with a proven record of developing, managing and coordinating diverse teams at both departmental and project levels.
Phil also served as the Director of Engineering for the Jacksonville Port Authority where his responsibilities included planning, design and financial oversight of all marine-engineering projects for two marine terminals, as well as planning for a third terminal.
His professional experience includes master planning and feasibility studies, facility condition assessment, land acquisition and redevelopment, wharf construction, dredging and dredged material disposal areas, acquisition and upgrading of cargo handling, maintenance and construction equipment, buildings and warehouses, utilities and site lighting, cargo storage yards, roads and bridges, ferry services, oil spill response equipment, rail lines and intermodal yards, environmental studies, mitigation projects and site reclamation and improvements.
In addition to his work in the U.S., Phil has worked on port-related projects in Aruba, Colombia, Finland, Jamaica, Jordan, Mexico and Panama.
