Bert Sanford is an accomplished principal engineer and senior program and construction manager with over 38 years of experience covering the marine, structural and civil engineering disciplines.
Bert has completed design and environmental assessments of container terminals globally using both conventional and automated methods. He has planned, directed, and coordinated engineering and construction projects, ensuring compliance with local, state and federal government and local port authority building and environmental regulations.
Bert’s experience includes construction management from bid process through design review and coordination of the field inspection to close-out construction contracts. He has served as construction management team leader, generating construction documentation for site inspection including validation of monthly progress payments, contract change orders, and daily work reports.
In addition, Bert has performed design and environmental assessments of FPSO terminals globally and has planned, directed and coordinated design and installation requirements of SPMs designed by IMODCO, Bluewater, SOFEC and Single Buoy Mooring – ensuring owners’ requirements are met and projects comply with standards of leading Classification Societies (ABS, DNV and API Guidelines).
Over the last 15 years, Bert has held senior management roles for several multi-billion dollar marine and port projects for the U.S. Navy in India and Qatar.
